FOOTPRINT Wege Prize Semifinalist

With four peers from RISD, Brown Univeristy, and USC, we entered the 2022 Wege Prize competition to tackle the wicked problem of clothing manufacturing in a circular economy.

We created FOOTPRINT; a facility and organization that would take material blends (such as cotton-poly blends) from deadstock waste and seperate the blend into pure PET and viscose properties in order to create material for monomaterials in future products - thus negating the barrier of blended materials for recycling facilities.
